last season the best team in football reached the uefa cup final after dramatic and memorable quarter and semi finalists (though i must note i were too pished to remember very much) and a very respectable display in the league. now, under gareth southgate the team seem to be so poor that attendances are dwindling dramatically. click here to buy tickets, there was a day when you could barely get tickets to the riverside.
what to make of this? victorious over chelsea, drawing to hull. drawing with arsenal defeat to man city, draw with liverpool and defeat to watford. maybe not knowing whether we'll be throwing tickets at the manager or dancing with seville fans is the reason locals don't want to spend the money every week. does that make boro fans fickle?
